Krishna: Krish means the greatest and na means pleasure, na also means attraction. Krishna means the storehouse of pleasure. It also means the “greatest-attracter” or “all-attractive” in terms of beauty, strength, fame, wealth, knowledge, power, renunciation and all that be. That’s the reason the most befitting name of God is Krishna.
Sri Krishna states: “Although I am unborn and am situated above the modes of matter in My divine transcendental form, which never deteriorates, and although I am the Lord of all living entities, I still appear in every millennium in my original transcendental form through my internal potency.”
“Fools, who do not know My imperishable and supreme nature, think that I, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, was un-manifested (impersonal) before and have now assumed this personality through birth.”
“The Supreme Personality of Godhead is Narayana. He is the origin of Brahma, He is the origin of Shiva and He is the origin of everything.
In the above verses it is clearly stated that Sri Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. So there is no God besides Him as He is the Supreme. It has also been explained that the Supreme Personality of Godhead exists in a personal embodied form and His body is not like the other ordinary human body. |
